Greetings,
I have loved coming to post things more regularly. I still have a desire to build this blog out more and hope to get there, eventually. There are so many things that I could capture within the confines of the stuff that I post here and as I continue to build out my ideas and thoughts, I'd love to let everyone know that mjelliott-author.com will be getting a bit of a makeover in the coming weeks. I have thought about doing this for several months, and am now going to transition this website to something more purposeful for all that I am working on. There are several changes that will unfold, starting with a repurposing of the tabs at the top. For a long time, these tabs have focused book information regarding upcoming releases or books I have written over the years. When everything is said and done, they will focus more on all things Matthew James Elliott. Whether is a devotional, an idea that I'm pondering, a prayer or song that has been on my heart lately; I hope to build something relatable and in more ways than one. While some of the existing tabs will remain, I intend to remove specific books tabs and replace them with something else.
Eventually, I intend to give the website a fresh new look as well. Often there have been those that read my blog reporting that they are having issues reading the mobile version of the website and I want to remedy that. While the focus will still be "The Gathering Room," I am excited about embracing that concept on a deeper level. Creating a place where readers feel like they can find a home away from home, so to speak, is important to me, as that has always been my desire as a writer. I want to connect with readers, and writers, in deep and hopeful ways, and this website should reflect that more often. There are significant changes that God is bringing about in my personal life that will be reflected more in what I publish here on the website/blog as well. Do not worry though, I remain the old school blogger many of my readers connect with. I have no intention of turning this writing avenue into some giant marking tool. That's not who I am. Anyone who reads my monthly emails can tell you that. I love being the writer who establishes the idea of connecting with readers rather than leveraging their support. Not that this is a bad approach to building a brand, I simply prefer to be the way I am in that regard.
So with all that in mind, know that your support means the world to me and that every change that is coming builds on this. Please let me know in the comments below if any ideas spark your fancy with all that I have written today.
See You In The Pages,
M.J.E.
